TheFence.com, a Seattle-based community site, lanched a new version of its Web site Wednesday based on two years of feedback from members.

The new site features chat rooms, a shopping section and group and personal calendars. The company said it also enhanced its Reuters news section and reorganized its 500+ debates into 90+ “Fence Posts,” in an attempt to make it easier for members to access all the debates on a particular subject matter. The company has also added debate statistics, modeled after baseball stats, to help members keep track of their rating and effectiveness in the community.

“TheFence.com is one of the most unique communities on the Internet,” said Nicholas G. Jenkins, founder and chief executive officer of TheFence.com. “We’re confident that our continuing innovation will bring new meaning to the age old inquiry, ‘which side of The Fence are you on?'”
