    FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 15–Sabre Holdings
    announced that it has acquired Gradient Solutions Limited, a Dublin,
    Ireland-based technology company that provides e-commerce solutions to the
    global travel marketplace. Gradient
    Solutions
    enhances Sabre’s online
    distribution solutions, by bringing an international and highly
    customizable online booking engine. Details of the transaction were not
    disclosed.

    PALM BEACH, Aug. 15–Applied Digital Solutions , a single-source provider of e-business solutions, announced
    that it has acquired New York-based WebNet Services, an Internet
    service provider, network integrator and website developer. The WebNet acquisition expands the
    palate of Integrated Technology solutions that Applied Digital offers and strengthens the
    Company’s Application Service Provider (ASP) initiative, helping companies
    and institutions of all sizes address and manage e-business projects in the
    fields of general business, agribusiness, retail, education and finance.

    NEW YORK, Aug 15–Eagle Wireless International said it will merge with ClearWorks.net ,
    to create a broadband telecommunications company with domestic and
    international market share. Eagle
    Wireless
    said it could expand its customer-base to several hundred
    thousand homes in coming years, under the merger with ClearWorks.net, a Houston, Texas-based
    provider of high-speed Internet and other digital services. ClearWorks.net
    shareholders will receive four Eagle Wireless common shares for each five
    Clearworks.net common shares, in a deal worth $158 million.

    NEWPORT BEACH, Aug. 15–NewBridge Capital
    announced that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire the assets of
    SkateSurfSnow.com from PacificTradingPost.com. NewBridge will issue
    an undisclosed amount of common stock and warrants for the assets of SkateSurfSnow.com, which operates
    an e-commerce Web site and retail store in Huntington Beach, Calif.,
    serving the fast growing skateboard, surfing and snowboarding markets.

    PALO ALTO, Aug. 15–Wine.com and WineShopper.com, two
    of the leading Internet wine stores, said they will merge and build a new
    Web site combining the best features from both companies, and plans to
    operate under the Wine.com name and URL.
    Wine.com was founded back in 1994 and was one of the first online
    retailers, while WineShopper.com
    was just launched in April, with a $30 million investment from
    Amazon.com .
