    DENVER, Oct. 27–Meteor Industries
    announced it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to merge with
    Active IQ Technologies. Active
    IQ
    is a privately held Minneapolis, Minnesota-based company that
    provides Internet infrastructure software services supporting immediate
    seamless integration solutions for business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce.
    Meteor will issue new shares of common stock and warrants to purchase
    additional shares to Active IQ shareholders in exchange for all of the
    equity of Active IQ, such that Active IQ shareholders will own
    approximately 50% of the merged company. Exact terms of the deal were not
    disclosed. Meteor Industries, Inc. is a leading distributor of refined
    petroleum products. In April, 2000, the company announced it would review
    strategic alternatives away from its historical business with the goal of
    enhancing shareholder value.

    MUMBAI, India, Oct. 27–Silverline Technologies Limited
    , a global software services and IT solutions provider, and
    SeraNova , a global provider of Internet
    professional services, announced a definitive agreement providing for Silverline’s acquisition of SeraNova, headquartered in Edison, NJ,
    USA. The combination of Silverline and SeraNova is expected to create a
    leading eSolutions firm, with the ability to deliver true “end-to-end”
    enterprise and eBusiness solutions, utilizing an offshore-based global
    delivery model. Silverline will acquire all of SeraNova’s outstanding
    shares, in which the exchange ratio of SeraNova shares to Silverline’s ADR
    (American Depositary Receipts) shares has been set at 0.35. The total value
    of the transaction is approximately $99 million.

    THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., Oct. 27–Homestore.com and Cendant Corporation announced they
    have signed a definitive agreement for Homestore.com to acquire Cendant’s
    Internet real estate portal, move.com.
    The combined entity is expected to offer unprecedented choice and selection
    for consumers and professionals alike. Acquired assets to be integrated
    into Homestore.com’s family of Web sites include Cendant’s move.com,
    apartment locator Rent Net, direct
    marketing company Welcome Wagon, and other move.com Web sites.
    Homestore.com will acquire move.com in an all-stock transaction totaling
    approximately 26.3 million shares of the company’s common stock, valued at
    approximately $761 million.

    ThinkIndia.com, for an undisclosed number of Rediff.com American
