[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] National entertainment group Tribe now spans the Pacific Ocean, today adding Los Angeles to its online media network.

With Londontribe joining in early September, Tribe said a further 20 international sites are scheduled to be added by the end of 2001.

“For the first time, our international dream is a reality,” said Tribe’s chief executive officer Milt Barlow.

“Now that L.A. has completed lift-off, it will be followed by London, which goes live next month. With international presence, we get to use the great stories out of L.A. and soon London on our six Australian city sites,” he said.

Tribe has also announced the completion of its national network of youth city portal sites, incorporating sydneytribe.com, melbournetribe.com, canberratribe.com, brisbanetribe.com, adelaidetribe.com and perthtribe.com.

Each ‘citytribe’ portal provides a gateway to its own information specific portals: movietribe, clubtribe, pleasuretribe and musictribe in a city-specific format.
