WatchGuard Reshuffles Management Structure

Nov 26, 2001

Seattle-based Internet security provider WatchGuard Technologies Inc. reshuffled its management Monday, promoting President Jim Cady to the chief executive position and adding Jean Nassar as senior vice president of marketing and Christine McClure as senior director of LiveSecurity Services.

Christopher Slatt will continue to serve as chairman of WatchGuard, and will focus on the company’s technology direction.

“With a solid technology portfolio and global distribution base including distribution in over 80 countries, I see tremendous opportunities to leverage our strengths in the small to medium size enterprise space,” Cady said. “Our solid financial position, coupled with excellent technology, executive team expertise, and global employee base position the company to further its market momentum. I’m committed to build on the company’s pillars of strength — hardware, software and services — and the addition of Jean and Christine exemplify this commitment.

Nassar has 17 years of experience marketing high tech products and services, and held executive management positions at Compaq and Tektronix. McClure has more than 20 years of senior level marketing experience.
