A new online storefront has launched in Sweden: toga.com, which boasts more than 110 brands representing 2000 products, aims to become the biggest department stores on the Net.

toga.com will present sports, apparel, electronic devices and furniture among its offerings. The site aims to become a lifestyle portal for shoppers.

“On toga.com you find tip and advice of new trends and you have the possibility to become a member that gives you lot of advantages,” says CEO Christer Myhrán. “You can look at products in 3D or find things in a special bargain department.”

According to Myhrán toga.com is negotiating with several well-known brands for more product presentation in future.

The shopping site will use 3D technology, top lists for each product segment and a search engine.
Unlike many other shopping places, toga.com is including the freight cost in the price. To attract members, toga.com will offer discounts on future services such as invitations to fashion shows and exclusive sales offers.

Internet firm Spray will hold a stake in the firm, with Spray’s Per Bysted serving as the company’s chairman. Other investors include Carl Palmstierna and Kjell Spangberg.
