Seattle.internet.com has learned that Executive Search Firm Heidrick & Struggles has recently opened a downtown Seattle office in Two Union Square.

The managing partner for the Seattle office is Jason Hancock. Hancock’s specialty is in recruiting senior level executives for technology companies focusing on the e-commerce, software and services sectors.

“Seattle is an important city with many existing and potential clients,” says Hancock. “With the reputable venture capital and high-tech community here, it is time for Heidrick & Struggles to be in Seattle, and this new office represents our continued expansion strategy to be well-positioned within all of our key markets.”

According to Hancock, there is a lot of local talent right here in the Seattle area. However, the company also uses its nationwide and international contacts to conduct searches.

Hancock believes that early stage companies in the Seattle area are very interested in bringing on board executives that have experience in rapidly scaling companies.

Heidrick & Struggles interest in the Pacific Northwest took place even prior to the opening of their Seattle office. Consultants from the company’s other nationwide offices conducted over 100 executive searches for such local clients as Microsoft, Real Networks and HomeGrocer.com.
