The creative director of Singapore-based Expanded Media Asia (XM Asia), Josh
Sklar, has been appointed to the 1999 interactive jury of New York’s 40th
Clio International Advertising Festival.
Founded in 1959, Clio is one of the largest and most prestigious
advertising awards competitions and today includes New Media like the
Internet among its award categories.
XM Asia is an online marketing consulting firm with expertise in creative
development, design, media planning and the implementation of e-business
technologies.
Sklar has been involved in the Singapore design community for
seven years founding the Asian New Media Association (ANMA) and serving as the
chairman of the interactive category of awards given by the Singaporean
Association of Accredited Advertising Agents (the 4As).
“It will be a great opportunity to be involved with the
Clios and follow in the impressive footprints of people such as Jonathan
Nelson of Organic and Peter Seidler of Avalanche,” comments Sklar.
“This is the first time the Clio’s has assigned someone for the
interactive jury from the Asia Pacific and I think it’s excellent
recognition for the region,” noted Sklar.
Established in June 1995, XM Asia is a member of the 141 Worldwide network
