Lexington, KY-based ecampus.com awarded its estimated $23
million online college bookstore account to DeVito/Verdi in New York City
after a review that began last March.
ecampus.com, a virtual online bookstore targeting the $100 billion college
market, is preparing to go live July 2. The site will offer books and
textbooks in all current and future formats, men’s, women’s and children’s
apparel, electronics, computers, office and general supplies, music, gifts
and other items. It will compete with several other online campus bookstore
operations.
Steve Stevens, president and CEO of ecampus.com, said DeVito/Verdi was
selected “because of the insights they provide into this market, strategic
planning capabilities and award winning creative.”
DeVito/Verdi has done work for Office Depot, Circuit City, Daffy’s and Linens
‘N Things, as well as creative for clients such as Canon, Seagrams, and Sony.
Specifics of media spending for ecampus.com were not disclosed.
