drugstore.com Signs Marketing Pact With Discovery Health Media

Online e-tailer drugstore.com signed a promotional
partnership deal with Discovery
Health Media Inc., a multi-media business consisting of discoveryhealth.com and the
Discovery Health Channel.

The partnership includes advertising on discoveryhealth.com, which is an
online health, medical, fitness, and nutrition portal, and the Discovery
Health Channel, and will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.

drugstore.com will become the exclusive provider of pharmaceuticals,
over-the-counter products and nutraceuticals to discoveryhealth.com users.

In
addition, drugstore.com will launch a series of 30-second spots on the
Discovery Health Channel and
other Discovery cable TV networks.

“Combining Discovery Health’s information resources with drugstore.com’s
health purchasing solutions is yet another example of our mission to partner
with best-in-class consumer brands,” said Peter Neupert, president and CEO of
drugstore.com.

Discovery Health Media Inc. was formed by Discovery Communications Inc.,
