Egghead.com Inc. plans to launch a print and
television advertising campaign to boost holiday season sales at its online
retail business.

The campaign comes as Egghead.com revamps its three Web sites into one, which
is expected to be up and running as soon as next week, said Chairman George
Orban at the Bloomberg Internet conference.

The Spokane, WA-based company will run ads in magazines with a high ratio of
Web users among the readership, such as Popular Science, Orban said. Ads on
cable TV and in local newspapers will begin before Christmas, to spread the
word that Egghead is now online. Spending on the campaign was not disclosed.

Egghead said in January that it would close all its stores and become an
Internet-only retailer. Since then, its Internet-related sales have boomed,
although revenue remains less than prior to the store closings, Bloomberg News said.
