Execs and Accounts for June 24, 2002

24/7 Real Media recently made seven hires to senior media sales posts, four to its New York office and three to regional offices in San Francisco, Chicago and Austin.

New York has recruited Frank Bilich, Jason Merhaut, Joshua Lefkowitz and Fabiana Esteves as account executives. Bilich joins the company from Vivendi Universal Net , where he handled online and cross promotion selling. Merhaut’s last post was at The Comedy Lab, selling creative ad packages to companies like Volkswagen and Time-Life. Previously he was with NetZero.

Lefkowitz has held postitions with TreasureTrivia.com, IPO.com and Zack’s Investment Services; and he brings to 24/7 Real Media numerous relationships with financial sector clients and agencies in New York, Chicago and Boston. Esteves held a variety of roles at Starmedia, where she worked with blue chip companies such as Kraft, Budweiser, Sony and Coke.

In San Francisco, Matt Day joins the company as an account executive. Day ran his own online company, Day One Media, focusing on sales for premium content sites. Prior to that, Day worked at Photopoint.com and Cybereps. The company’s Chicago office has brought on Christine Schmidt, whose background includes media sales for Talk City, Engage and NBC in the U.S., as well as OZEmail in Australia.

Dave Momsen will join the iPromotion team. Momsen came up through the ranks of 24/7’s Austin office, selling to customers like Travelocity and Louisiana Tourism while on the company’s network team.

IconMedialab has launched a Web presence for The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF). The site launch, planned to coincide with the 33rd annual induction and awards ceremony, features information about the approximately 300 songwriters who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Resources include inductee biographies, audio clips, archival photos and discographies. A smaller section of the site covers the organizational goals and activities of SHOF and its parent organization, The National Academy of Popular Music.

Agency.com has launched a Web site for eye products manufacturer Alcon’s LADARVision laser eye surgery system. The site was developed first as a sales channel to reach consumers who may be considering LASIK surgery, and second as a means to cultivate relationships with refractive surgeons. The section for physicians includes technical and clinical information, as well as practice-development ideas.

“LADARVision.com combines helpful consumer information with the technical advice physicians need, thereby helping Alcon generate increased awareness and demand for the latest technology available in LASIK eye surgery,” said Agency.com North America CEO Don Scales.

Engage will integrate RealTimeImage’s RealTimeProof imaging and proofing technology within its advertising production and workflow solutions. RealTimeProof features that will be added to Engage’s digital asset management tools include high-resolution image streaming, zooming, panning, annotation and color management. Engage digital asset management solutions are designed to help publishers to track, manage and automate the ad production process.
