Online direct marketer FreeShop.com
Friday struck a one-year, seven-figure deal with Promotions.com, that
will bring FreeShop.com’s free and trial offers on Promotion.com‘s Webstakes.com site.

The deal is aimed at bringing FreeShop a minimum of 1.5 million new customers. Specific financial terms weren’t disclosed.

“This exclusive agreement is a great opportunity for us to bring millions
of new consumers to the FreeShop Network and to reinforce FreeShop’s
position as the leading site for free and trial offers,” said Tim Choate,
president and chief executive officer of FreeShop.com (FSHP).

“Over the last six months we have received excellent results from various
marketing activities on Webstakes.com and we are excited to expand this
relationship.”

The deal teams two of the online world’s most up-and-coming methods of
customer acquisition — promotions and free trial offers.

Under the terms of the agreement, FreeShop is guaranteed traffic through
prominently featured banners, buttons and text links. FreeShop also gets
placement in Webstakes.com’s e-mail newsletter, and it will be the
exclusive sponsor of the “free and trial offers” tab on every Webstakes.com
page.
