FutureTense Inc. said that
The Boston Globe‘s online
publication has
implemented its Mission Critical AdFAST.com product to accept classified
advertisements.
AdFAST.com is now embedded in boston.com’s new EXTRAnet section, which serves
as an interactive customer service site. Financial terms of the deal were not
disclosed.
The product, a Web-based remote ad delivery service, leverages the speed and
efficiency of Internet delivery for two-way communication between the
Globe‘s advertisers and its ad sales representatives.
AdFAST.com gives advertisers the flexibility to submit their classified
advertisements remotely, via the Internet. The advertisers complete billing
and order information forms, enter ad text, and submit payment.
“AdFAST.com finally ties together our classified advertising system with our
Internet publishing environment,” said Bob Edmonston, publishing systems
manager at The Boston Globe. “Our commitment is to improve
business operations and information delivery. AdFAST.com supports that goal
by making the online classified ad process easy and efficient for our
customers and our classified
sales reps.”
Boston.com’s EXTRAnet is designed to make doing business with the
Globe easier and more convenient for its customers. It is
organized into seven major
categories, including Home Delivery, Advertising, Contact Information, Inside
the Newsroom, Newspapers in Education, Community Projects, and About Our
Company.
