Gateway Learning Signs Ad Pact With AOL

Gateway Learning Corp. of San Francisco, which markets the Hooked-on-Phonics
reading program, signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar ad agreement with
America Online.

The company will provide educational information and tools for AOL members who
are parents to use with children ages 2 to 12. Advertising will appear in
several AOL Channels, including the Women’s, News and Shopping Channels, as
well as sponsorships in several areas of the Families and Research and Learn
Channels.

Gateway will offer AOL members direct links to the Hooked-on-Phonics site,
where parents will find additional educational tools and information to make
their children stronger in reading and math.
