Real Media is partnering with Headbone
Interactive to provide ad management software and ad sales representation for
the provider and syndicator of original online children’s entertainment.
The Seattle-based Headbone Zone is an online gathering place
for kids featuring a daily updated array of fun and games for ages 8 to 14. It
includes features such as the Headbone Derby, a series of Internet research
adventures used in thousands of classrooms nationwide; Riddleopolis, a trivia
quiz game; and “mom-monitored” safe chat rooms.
The Headbone Zone claims to serve more than 7.5 million ad views per month.
A customized version of Real Media’s Open Ad Stream 4.0 (OAS), a proprietary
ad management software program, has been installed on the Headbone Zone
server,
and advertising placed on the site will be sold and processed by Real Media.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Open AdStream is a Web-publishing, banner-ad management, delivery, and
reporting
system.
“The Headbone Zone offers advertisers the ability to build relationships on a
site with brand-recognition among kids in the pre- and early-teen years,” said
Real Media president Dave Morgan.
“Today’s online kids are more Web-savvy than ever and are beginning to
build brand loyalties. Headbone Zone is an exceptional place to reach an
otherwise difficult-to-reach audience. Advertisers are assured of trusted
content, kids’ safety, and high traffic.”
Headbone Interactive develops original content for kids for the Internet,
television, and other media. Syndicated to over 125 online newspapers in
cities
across the U.S., the Headbone Zone delivers geographic-specific targeting for
advertisers.
