Hearst’s New Media and Technology Group named CKS Group as advertising
agency-of-record for the HomeArts Network, a site for women.
The deal between Hearst and CKS includes all marketing communications and
media buying for both online and offline programs. Billings were not
disclosed.
“CKS’ expertise in strategic brand building, online media and advertising make them
the perfect partner for HomeArts,” said Eliot Russman, vice president of marketing for Hearst New Media. “We expect many contributions from CKS as we
continue to build a valuable business asset and develop targeted advertising
programs to build brand awareness and promote user traffic to the site.”
The Hearst New Media account was handled by i-traffic since 1995. This mutual
decision comes on the heels of i-traffic’s recent strategic decision to focus
all of the agency’s efforts on e-commerce accounts, the companies said.
