Infoseek signed a multiyear, multimillion
dollar deal with RealSelect Inc. for its real estate service REALTOR.com.
Separately, Infoseek also partnered with Microsoft’s online travel site, Expedia.com.
The realty partnership gives Infoseek customers instant access to over one
million new and resale homes. As part of the agreement, Infoseek viewers will
be able to take advantage of REALTOR.com’s “Find a Home,” “Find a Realtor,”
and “Mover’s Toolkit” services directly from Infoseek’s Real Estate Channel.
As an Anchor Channel Partner, REALTOR.com will hold premier placement
throughout Infoseek’s Real Estate Channel, as well as advertising space within
the Real Estate Channel, and will be able to purchase keyword advertising
throughout the service. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition, “buying spotlights” will be updated continuously for Infoseek
viewers, helping to further cut through the vast information available and
provide the best real estate deals in one location.
Infoseek’s Anchor Channel Partners secure prominent logo-link placement above
the right side of the toolbar at the top of the page, as well as significant
presence throughout one of the 15 channels offered on Infoseek’s home page.
The Expedia.com site allows travelers to book their own air, car, and hotel
reservations for planned destinations, or discover new destinations via
content and travel news.
“Online travel has grown faster than any other segment of Internet commerce.
Something that saves the consumers time and money, and gives them more choices

Motro. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Expedia.com will serve as the Anchor Channel Partner and exclusive booking
engine on Infoseek’s Travel Channel.
