Professional services firm KPMG and Peppers and Rogers Group, a one-to-one
marketing and consulting firm, formed a strategic alliance designed to
provide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions to their clients.

The alliance is expected to enhance client relationships for both
organizations by combining the strategic CRM expertise of Peppers and Rogers
Group with the e-engineering and Internet integration skills of KPMG, the
companies said.

“Developing one-to-one relationships is not easy. For most companies, the
technology that makes one-to-one marketing possible can complicate sales
processes, data systems and channel management” said Doug Holden, global
partner-in-charge of KPMG’s Customer Management Practice.

“By teaming, Peppers and Rogers Group and KPMG will collaborate and guide
businesses through the visioning and strategy stages and help companies
navigate the technology implementation labyrinth.”

Peppers and Rogers will help design KPMG’s e.one.to.one marketing solution by
the end of 1999. In addition, the firms will seek to leverage each other’s
core competencies by undertaking joint marketing, business development and
solution design activities.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

The two firms will also conduct a three-day senior level executive seminar on
Customer Relationship Management in San Diego Nov. 17-19.

Peppers and Rogers Group and KPMG also share alliances with BroadVision,
E.piphany and Pivotal Corp.
