Online employment ad site The Monster Board said it signed an agreement to provide classified ads to CableSoft Corp., a provider of local, on-demand information for cable television viewers.
The deal will provide The Monster Board with what it called “a powerful new distribution model reaching millions of job candidates via cable television.”
CableSoft executed the first launch of its product to MediaOne’s 80,000
broadband subscribers in Jacksonville, FL this month. The Monster Board job
listing service will be made available to this growing audience as part of
CableSoft’s suite of 12 local information channels. Financial terms of the
deal were not disclosed.
“CableSoft’s technology provides a pipeline for Internet content providers to
access a mass audience–cable television viewers. Our unique technology is
the only market-proven service for transforming Internet content into an easy-
to-use cable service,” said Sonia Khademi, president and CEO of CableSoft. “The Monster Board has clearly established itself as the
leading Internet brand for delivering the ideal job candidates to companies
and we are pleased to enable them to broaden their reach beyond the Internet
universe.”
The CableSoft service is a suite of 12 on-demand information channels offering
subscribers 24×7 access to local weather, sports, entertainment, lottery
listings and classifieds from national, local and Internet information
providers. The Weather Channel, ESPN SportsTicker, Lotto Net and other
information sources provide content
to CableSoft primarily via the Internet. Utilizing CableSoft’s proprietary
technology, CableSoft customizes the information for cable viewers and sends
it to the cable operator.
The Monster Board job listings will be listed on the Classifinder channel of
CableSoft’s service.
