MSGi to Merge WiredEmpire With Pegasus Internet

Marketing Services Group (MSGi) on
Monday merged two of its subsidiaries WiredEmpire, a customer relationship
management company, and Pegasus
Internet
, an Internet marketing and technology consultancy in a move
to provide end-to-end solutions for its clients.

The combined entity, to be called WiredEmpire, will use Pegasus Internet’s
content delivery technology to create a new personalization product,
ContentAgent, which allows for the serving of custom content based on a Web
site user’s preferences. The merger also gives WiredEmpire online marketing
strategies and creative services for delivering dynamic HTML e-mail messages.

“The ability to serve Web-based custom content will allow our customers to
truly leverage their customer knowledge base, and build even stronger
relationships with their online clientele,” says Ed Mullen, CEO of
WiredEmpire.

“The expansion of our Internet marketing consulting services through this
merger gives our customers a ‘one-stop shop’ for everything they need for
Internet marketing and customer relationship management.”

This is the second significant addition to WiredEmpire in the last three
months. In October 1999, the company acquired Cambridge Intelligence
Agency, a provider of Web-based e-mail response management and self-service
automated response solutions. Pegasus Internet will become the New York
office of WiredEmpire.

MSGi, which acquires, invests in and incubates marketing companies,
operates both on the Internet and in the traditional direct marketing
space. Eighteen percent of the company is owned by GE Capital, and CMGI is a ten percent owner.
