eTranslate and MSN LinkExchange signed
an agreement to help small businesses build relationships with international
customers by globalizing their Web sites and banner advertisements.
eTranslate will offer its translation services to small businesses through
the LinkExchange Web site. Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.
Translation Station, the
co-marketed MSN LinkExchange and eTranslate service, launched Tuesday in the
United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States.
Over the next few
months, Translation Station will be expanded to LinkExchange’s sites in
Japan, France and Germany.

company that could offer powerful, multilingual translation to its 1 million
customers,” said Charlie Baxter, CEO of eTranslate. “Our unique operating
platform and proprietary network of over 6,000 language professionals
provides LinkExchange with the largest translation service in the industry.”
Through Translation Station, members of LinkExchange will have access to
eTranslate’s translation services, which will enable them to globalize their
Web sites and banner ads into one or multiple languages simultaneously.
eTranslate’s Translation Management System helps ensure that projects are
translated, edited and proofread by language professionals who specialize in
the field of expertise relevant to the LinkExchange customer.
eTranslate localizes the site or banner, making it appropriate in terms of
culture and format for the member’s target markets.
