NetBank Seals Wide-Ranging Ad Deal with AOL

Internet-only bank player NetBank on
Monday inked a wide-ranging portal deal with America Online, which places NetBank’s
products and services across five AOL brands.


The deal, financial details of which were not disclosed, calls for AOL (AOL)
to promote NetBank on AOL, AOL.COM, CompuServe, Netscape Netcenter, and Digital City.


“This agreement with AOL is right on track with our marketing strategy of
developing alliances that enable us to bring our full array of banking
products and services to an Internet-savvy audience,” said D.R. Grimes,
NetBank’s chief executive officer.


The agreement also calls for the promotion of NetBank’s financial services
in individual Banking Centers in 21 states and within the Banking Center of
AOL’s Personal Finance Channel. AOL users may also access NetBank by using
AOL Keyword: Netbank.
