MsgTo.com released a beta version of its
Web-based e-mail application for consumers that the company said effectively
blocks unsolicited commercial e-mail.

“We don’t just stop some spam — we eliminate spam from your inbox. Period,”
said Rick Leavy, president of MsgTo.com.
MsgTo uses technology to determine if a users’ e-mail messages were sent by a
bulk sending program — the way spam is generally sent. Individually sent
e-mails go directly into the inbox.

MsgTo said the app is available free to the first 100,000 users who visit its
site to sign up for the beta test. The system is also available for
license to ISPs and email providers.
