OneMediaPlace, the online media
marketplace formerly known as AdAuction.com, on Thursday forged an alliance
with media planning software player Telmar
Group Inc.

The deal means OneMediaPlace can integrate Telmar’s new Web-based media
planning software into its own offering, and OneMediaPlace users will be
billed on a per-day basis.

The online application, eTelmar, is meant to help OneMediaPlace members plan
their media efforts, by allowing them to analyze the potential effectiveness
of their marketing plans using various combinations of media including
print, broadcast, outdoor and online.

OneMediaPlace, along with other players in the space, are forging alliances
with data and software providers to try to enhance and differentiate their
offerings. BuyMedia.com, a
similar firm that concentrates on broadcast and cable media, in April
purchased Marketron, a firm that
provides sales, research, management, and accounting software to broadcast
media companies. BuyMedia.com intends to integrate its offering with the
Marketron software.
