PowerAdz.com, Auction Universe Team Up

PowerAdz.com formed a strategic partnership
with Auction Universe, a Classified
Ventures LLC company, to launch a new Auction Universe affiliate, the Auction
Hill Network, with more than 600 affiliated newspaper sites.

“We believe the Auction Hill Network will draw significant attention from
consumers by leveraging the promotion power of our more than 600 newspaper
affiliates, and the network and promotion power of Auction Universe,” said
Mark Chudzicki, president of PowerAdz.com.

Newspaper affiliates in the Auction Hill Network will be able to host both
person-to-person and business-to-consumer auctions by offering local merchants
an opportunity to
offer new, overstock and clearance merchandise for sale.

Auction Universe will provide PowerAdz.com its proprietary auction engine
to integrate with PowerAdz.com’s current infrastructure to allow consumers to
bid on items anywhere in the Auction Hill and Auction Universe networks.

The Auction Hill infrastructure facilitates transactions between buyers and
sellers by listing items on local newspaper Web sites, in newspapers’ print
editions, and
across PowerAdz’ AdQuest3D classifieds network. Financial terms of the
arrangement were not disclosed.

Auction Universe will process all credit card transactions for the Auction
Hill Network.

Rensselaer, NY-based PowerAdz.com has more than 650 newspaper affiliates,
thousands of participating business advertisers and 20 state press association
endorsements. Founded in 1996, the company markets its services to newspaper
companies using the AdQuest, CarCast, ThinkHomes and CareerGold Internet
brands.

Classified Ventures, based in Chicago, is funded by eight large media
companies, including Central Newspapers, Gannett Co., Knight Ridder,
McClatchy, The New York Times Company, Times Mirror Tribune Company and the Washington Post.
