Razorfish in New York City said it
has acquired London-based CHBi and San Francisco-based Plastic. Financial
terms were not disclosed.
The announcement comes on the heels of news that Razorfish has consolidated
Avalanche Systems completely, housing all of its employees in its New York
office, according to the Silicon Alley Reporter.
The two new acquisitions will also be wrapped under the Razorfish brand; the
London office will become CHBi Razorfish, and the San Francisco branch will
simply be known as Razorfish.
The company will continue to be headquartered in New York, and Jeff Dachis
will remain president and CEO. CHBi Razorfish, will be headed by CHBi’s Mike
Beeston and Mark Curtis. San Francisco operations will be headed by Plastic’s
Shane Ginsberg and Len Sellers. Omnicom acquired 40% of Razorfish in September
1996.
