Real Media Lands 20 New Sites in Latin America

Ad network Real Media recently added 20 new Latin
American Web sites to its network, including InfoSel in Mexico, Universo in
Brazil and La Nacion and El Clarin in Argentina.

Real Media said it now represents 32 sites in Central and South America
serving over half a billion ad impressions each month.

The company, which operates a network of about 570 sites, mostly newspaper
sites, added Argentina La Nacion; Brazil O’ Globo; Brazil Universo Online run by Folha de Sao
Paulo;

Chile El Mercurio; Colombia El Tiempo; and Mexico El Universal.

“Many people don’t realize that the dominant Internet brands in markets like
Brazil, Argentina and Mexico are the Web sites of the local newspapers,” said
Greg Gendron, managing director of Real Media Latin America.

“These
newspapers are brands for news and information that Latin American audiences
have grown up with and trusted for 100 years or more, making them very
valuable partners to us.”

Real Media also markets its Open Ad Stream (OAS) targeted ad server product
and claims more than 5,000 users for it.
