Ad network and server technology company Real Media said it has linked together
Latin American-based portals into an advertiser network that includes Ciudad
Internet/Argentina, UOL/Brazil, Infosel/Mexico, Mexico.com/Mexico and Mexico
Web Guide/Mexico.

The company said the new Latin American Portal Network generates 540 million
monthly page views.

“The Latin American portals represented by Real Media are the largest and
best known Web sites in their respective countries,” said Greg Gendron, Real
Media’s Miami-based managing director of Real Media Latin America.

“The Latin
American portals network offers a high volume of ad impressions for those
companies whose main interest is to build brand awareness in Latin America.”

Real Media represents an number of national newspapers in Latin America that
will be launching portals soon that will be added to the Latin American
network as they are launched.

Real Media operates networks comprised largely of interactive newspaper
brands that represent more than 3.5 billion ad impressions per month. The
company also markets its proprietary advertising server, Open AdStream, and
claims more than 5,000 users for the solution.
