Register.com Tuesday struck a deal
with About.com to become the exclusive
domain name registrar on the network of vertical sites.

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.

The deal also calls for About.com (BOUT)
to post promotional placements encouraging its users to register domain
ames and use other services on register.com (RCOM).

Through this agreement, register.com gains access to About.com’s 13 million
unique users, expanding its reach as it tries to round up new customers.

“About.com has an incredible reach and a great reputation for providing
users with exactly what they want, so we’re extremely pleased to be working
together to help About.com users establish their presence on the Internet,”
said Richard Forman, president and chief executive officer at register.com.
