Tivoli Systems Inc. in Austin, TX, a
systems management supplier, has joined forces with Universal Studios
Online to develop the Rocky & Bullwinkle online cartoon series.

The campaign recently won a Internet Technology Ad Campaign Award from
ChannelSeven.com.

Since the cartoon debut, Tivoli’s click-throughs have doubled and the banners
continue to get approximately 30,000 impression per week, Tivoli said.

The 60-second cartoons feature the two personalities in humorous, thought-
provoking scenarios which underscore the complexities of managing network
environments. The series is linked to Tivoli banner ads on search engines
and selected business, technology news and sports Web sites.

Designed by Tivoli’s interactive advertising agency partner, OgilvyOne, the series features the
cartoon duo battling foils Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale for control of
Rocky’s and Bullwinkle’s enterprise computing environment.

Spending on the campaign was not disclosed. Tivoli plans to launch an
additional eight episodes during 1998.

The ads were placed on Alta Vista, Pointcast, Yahoo!, CNN/SI, and The Dilbert
Zone, as well as CIO/Webmaster, Network World Fusion, CMP Techweb and
Newspage.com.

Tivoli Systems Inc. provides software for end-to-end management of
distributed computing environments, from mobile computers to mainframes.
