Jul 31, 1998

Sumitomo Corp. in Osaka, Japan next month will start working with Engage Technologies, a subsidiary of CMG Information Services Inc., to sell an Internet direct- marketing system, Bloomberg News quoted the Nikkei English News as reporting.

The system enables companies to analyze visitors to their Web sites to develop
advertising. Osaka-based Sumitomo will have a 51 percent stake in Engage Technologies
Japan, which was formed to produce and sell a Japanese version of the system
by year’s end, NEN said.

Sumitomo in February said it would invest $10 million in CMG
Information Services as part of its effort to expand its Internet services in
Japan.
