New York City-based community site operation theglobe.com signed on as the exclusive
Internet sponsor of the Fourth Annual Red Bull Xtreme Snowboarding Competition
in the Swiss Alps through March 21.
As the exclusive Internet sponsor, theglobe.com and its creative logo will
be prominently placed alongside the famous Swoosh from Nike ACG, in front
of the Verbier village resort area–the main vantage point for spectators
to view the breathtaking snowboarding competition. Spending was not disclosed.

presence in Europe at an event that caters to a coveted demographic for

Approximately 40 percent of theglobe.com users hail from countries outside of
the United States such as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany,
Canada, Norway, Sweden, Brazil and Italy.
