Two New Veeps Named at Barnesandnoble.com

Barnesandnoble.com
named new vice presidents for marketing and international strategies.


John Rindlaub Jr. is responsible for all marketing and advertising, and Joy
Marcus for developing and implementing all international strategies.


“John and Joy, with their extensive online and international experience, are
two of the finest professionals in the business,” said Jeff Killeen, chief
operating officer of barnesandnoble.com, soon to be spun off as a public
company. “We have established a strong presence on the Internet and look to
them to help make us even stronger here and abroad.”


Previously, Rindlaub was senior vice president, chief marketing officer and
interim president of Shoplink Inc., a PC-based grocery shopping and home-
delivery company. He also has worked at Citibank, Pepsi-Cola, Johnson & Johnson and J. Walter
Thompson Co.


Marcus joins barnesandnoble.com from MTV: Music Television, where she was
vice-president of international business development. Previously, she worked
as a lawyer at the entertainment firm Franklin, Weinrib Rudell and Vasallo,
and at Debevoise & Plimpton.
