Audiohighway.com, an
Internet-based information and entertainment company, said that scanner
manufacturer UMAX Technologies became
the first sponsor of the new technology channel on its Web
site.
The technology channel is one of eight channels of audio-based content found
on the site. The others are Audiobooks, Business, Entertainment, Music, News,
Sports, and Travel.
As the sponsor of audiohighway.com’s Technology channel,
UMAX said it will have the premier advertising position on the opening Web page of the
channel. In addition, UMAX will also have its audio commercials delivered to
thousands of audiohighway.com subscribers each month as they download or
stream audio-based news, information, education or entertainment content from
the site.
Spending details were not disclosed.
“This is a great marketing opportunity for UMAX because we deliver our
advertising messages to prospective customers as an audio commercial, in
addition to multimedia graphics” said UMAX Technologies President Vincent Tai.
“It’s just like running radio spots. . . ”
“UMAX has agreed to sponsor the Technology channel for a minimum of three
months, and its banners and commercials will begin running in September,” said
Michael Lamb, audiohighway.com vice president of sales.
Audiohighway.com’s technology channel gives users access to a variety of
technology news sources, programs, information and reference materials.
