Universal Studios Recreation Group Selects MVBMS

Universal Studios Recreation Group
has selected Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/EURO
RSCG
(MVBMS) to manage the division’s interactive advertising account.

Billings were not disclosed.


MVBMS’s assignment will include design consulting, media planning and buying,
strategic consulting and creative development. MVBMS also will help
strengthen Universal’s e-commerce offering as well as provide strategic
counsel on partnership alliances.

MVBMS is also the agency of record for Universal Studios Hollywood and
Universal Studios Escape in Orlando, FL, and created the resort destination’s
first national advertising campaign.

“Universal is dedicated to projecting a unified brand image across all
aspects of our business,” said Elayne Garofolo, chief marketing officer for
the Universal Studios Recreation Group.

“MVBMS has already created a successful off-line strategy for our advertising, and by translating our core
identity into Web applications, we utilize the unique power of the Internet
while retaining the strategic messaging that defines our recreation
businesses.”

Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/EURO RSCG’s client roster includes
Evian, Intel, Glaxo Wellcome, Hallmark, International Paper, J.P. Morgan, MCI
WorldCom, Nasdaq, Nestle Frozen Foods, New Balance, Oppenheimer Funds,
Philips Electronics, Schering-Plough, Searle and Volvo.
