DataDirect to Launch SAN Product Line

May 8, 2000

DataDirect Networks Inc. Monday announced it will debut the first
in a family of advanced enabling infrastructure technology solutions. The product will be unveiled at Network Interop 2000 in Las Vegas, May 9-11.

The SAN DataDirector is part of the company’s SANappliances product line. DataDirector is a network infrastructure device that incorporates the key functionality of current SANs into a single plug-and-play appliance that
makes it easier to build and manage a SAN.

“The explosive growth of the Internet has brought a fundamental change in
the
makeup of data, with video, sound and images now being as much a part of the
mix of data as text and numbers,” explained Alex Bouzari, chief executive officer,
DataDirect Networks.

“Dot-coms and their remote data centers need a rock solid network infrastructure designed to broadly support this new mix
of streaming data, maximizing quality of service, while minimizing total cost of ownership,” he said. “Our
development an enabling infrastructure technology, addresses and solves these pressing requirements for corporate
and e-business streaming applications.”
