VoipXchange, a Vancouver, Wash., backbone network operator and subsidiary of Nettel Holdings , has signed three call routing agreements generating a total of $80 million annually, the company
announced this morning.
The customers — Idial Networks, BCMI; and Core Networks — provide voice- over-Internet protocol
services for telecommunications carriers.
“As we continue to grow, we strongly believe that Nettel will gain additional clients and be able to generate unprecedented
revenues and profits for our shareholders in the near term,” Michael Nguyen, Nettel’s chairman and CEO said in a
statement.
Today’s deals follow last month’s contracts from Calluniversal, GPA and Info-tel and others estimated to be worth $135
million per year as well as the completion of a two-year upgrade of its network.
With a redundant OC-48 connection (fiber for long-haul transmissions), VoipXchange can provide Internet connection of
2.488 Gbps and handle 16 billion wholesale minutes per month. Enhanced security as well as backup and recovery were
among other aspects of the upgrade.
In addition to VoipXchange, Nettel Holdings owns Nettel Telecom and EnTec Software. It also operates Netel Trading
which deals with facilitates the trading of metals, chemicals and other commodities.
The company recently completed a merger with Bio Standard and said it plans to pursue additional mergers and
acquisitions in the telecom, software application outsourcing and development and trading markets.
