400 Gigabit Ethernet and the Internet of Things [VIDEO]

In a video interview with Enterprise Networking Planet, John D’Ambrosia, chairman of the Ethernet Alliance, details what’s next for Ethernet.

Among the big-ticket items on D’Ambrosia’s list is 400 Gigabit Ethernet, an effort that he is helping to lead. While 400GbE is likely destined to be a technology not touched by your average consumer, it is likely to have a growing impact beyond traditional networking environments.

Ethernet in cars as well as the emerging Internet of Things are all areas set to mature in the months and years ahead, according to D’Ambrosia.
