CDW Sponsors Tech Twister Makeover Contest

CDW, a national technology solutions provider recently announced that its Tech Twister technology makeover contest. The company’s teaming up with IBM, Intel and Linksys to offer small businesses a chance to win a complete technology makeover.

Each of the five winners will also receive advice from mentors who will evaluate each winner’s business, specific challenges and needs in order to choose the right technology solutions.

Tech Twister &#151 so named, according to Norm Lillis vice-president at CDW, because today’s technology changes at such a fast pace &#151 is open to any small business with five to 100 employees.

CDW said the idea behind the contest is to help small businesses explore the technology available today and understand how it can help their business run smoother and be more competitive.

The contest focuses on three main areas of technology: improving mobility through wireless computing, increasing productivity with desktop PCs and expanding business by using servers. IBM, Intel and Linksys will provide up to $75,000 in hardware and software solutions for each winner.

The five winners will be showcased on a Web site documenting the makeover process and how it affects the companies involved.

Go to CDW’s Web site and fill out the online application to enter the contest. All entries must be completed and received by 5pm PST on February 15, 2005.

The winners will be chosen during the months of December 2004, January 2005 and February 2005.
