SpectraLink Partners with Expanets

SpectraLink of Boulder, Colo., has teamed up with Englewood, Colo.-based Expanets to sell its wireless phone systems to medium-sized businesses across the country.

The company said Wednesday that Expanets would offer its NetLink Wireless Telephones and Link Wireless Telephone System (WTS) to its customers in vertical markets such as health care, retail and education.

SpectraLink is one of the primary players in the emerging voice over wireless LAN market (VoWLAN), which Synergy Research predicts will total more than $30 million by 2007. The company’s wireless phones work on 802.11b networks and offer many of the same features found on wired phones.

NetLink phones have been deployed in such industries as government, health care, finance, hospitality, retail and education. Customers include the U.S. Postal Service, UCLA Medical Center, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Marriott, Border’s Books and Stanford University.
