1-800-FLOWERS Reorganizes Interactive Services Division

1-800-FLOWERS is
restructuring its Interactive Services Division, which manages the company’s
electronic commerce and interactive marketing efforts.

Spurred by rapid growth, the Interactive Services Division currently accounts
for more than 12% of 1-800-FLOWERS’ $300 + million in total revenues, the
company said.

The division encompasses the company’s Web site, its “native” store on America
Online (at keyword: flowers), more than two dozen interactive marketing
programs to support customers who purchase not only online, but over the
telephone and in-store as well, and a number of research and development
efforts.

The Interactive Services Division is led by Donna Iucolano, who has seen the
group grow from an R&D effort to a multi-million dollar business. Formerly
director of Interactive Services, Iucolano was recently promoted to vice
president.

The division now has four integrated groups including Business Development,
Content Development, Relationship Marketing and Operations. Among the team
members promoted were Rebecca Kovrlija to general manager, Business
Development (formerly marketing manager) and Frances Cuomo to manager, America
Online Marketing (formerly marketing coordinator).

New hires include: Patricia Gormley as manager, Content Development; Robert
Befumo as manager, Relationship Marketing; David Rogers as manager, Affiliate
Marketing; Christopher Frangopoulos as operations manager; Kathleen Duffy as
producer; Jessica Monahan as account coordinator; George Palaszewski as online
publisher; and Karen Fiore as marketing assistant.

The division is planning new distribution/portal relationships in the contract
stage, a Web site redesign, and several new marketing programs set to debut in
November.
