It was kind of a dog day afternoon down at the agency when the tip came in: APBnews.com signed a deal with America
Online Inc. to syndicate its crime, justice and safety content to several AOL
brands.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

APBnews.com will provide feeds of breaking news,
features and personal safety information through co-branded sites available
across AOL (AOL), AOL.com and Digital City.

The deal
makes APBnews.com’s content available to the largest user base to date.

The deal includes exclusive material for AOL members, a daily article on
crime, justice or safety of interest to each Digital City location, and
access for Digital City visitors to live police scanners in 28 major cities
nationwide.

Founded in 1998, APBnews.com has a New York newsroom staffed by more than 50
veteran newspaper and television journalists.
