iMALL Inc. and BigOnline, a Web site developer for
members of business and professional affinity groups, signed a deal to
deliver a new suite of e-commerce services to BigOnline’s existing base of
more than 4,000 merchants and professionals.
Under the terms of the agreement, BigOnline will offer its customers a
state-of-the-art solution, including an integrated shopping cart, transaction
capabilities, shipping and tax coordination, merchant accounts and payment
gateway services. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
In addition, to help generate shopper traffic to the merchants’ stores, the
merchants and their products will be automatically included in iMALL’s
shopping portals Stuff.com and
imall.com.
“Our customers want quick, easy and cost-effective solutions to their Web
needs,” said Chris Running, president and CEO of BigOnline. “This agreement
gives them a full array of Internet services with top-of-the-line products in
a simple to use format as well as the
attraction of immediate space in two of the most popular online shopping
portals.”
Founded in 1995 as BigBook Inc., BigOnline became an
online yellow pages directory, and then began to focus on meeting the Internet
marketing needs of small and medium-sized businesses and professional
organizations.
