Analytic and marketing automation applications provider Broadbase Software Inc.
and B2B e-commerce platform company Ariba Inc. are teaming up to deliver the
Broadbase E-Procurement Solution.

The integrated, packaged analytic solution will complement the Ariba B2B
Commerce Platform and give Ariba customers the ability to maximize the ROI of
their commerce investment by analyzing the complex interactions of buyers,
suppliers, value-added
service providers and B2B marketplaces, the companies said.

The new solution will provide insight into the data that flows through the
Ariba B2B Commerce Platform and help business decision-makers improve
business performance and streamline procurement processes.

The product is
scheduled for availability in the third quarter. Financial arrangements with
Broadbase were not disclosed.

“By combining the Ariba Buyer solution with Broadbase’s analytic
applications, we will give our customers a complete solution that optimizes
commerce and supply chain processes,” said Dave Rome, vice president for
alliances and business development at Ariba.

“Ariba and Broadbase share a common vision of providing the critical
e-commerce infrastructure that integrates and analyzes data from multiple
touch points to optimize the performance of B2B e-commerce,” said Chuck Bay,
chief executive officer of Broadbase Software.

The Ariba B2B Commerce Platform includes Ariba Buyer, Ariba Marketplace,
Ariba Dynamic Trade and Ariba Commerce Services Network.

Broadbase’s analytic and marketing automation applications analyze customer
data from multiple touch points, and use that information to execute
marketing campaigns, improve online merchandising and content, increase site
stickiness and personalize all customer interactions.
