BuySafe.com Opens Internet Stores On @Home Network

BuySafe.com, an operator of private-label
Internet stores, this week signed a deal to open new stores on the @Home Network service.

The stores will be anchor tenants on @Home’s shopping channel for flowers,
gifts, and music, and will be featured through contextual links in @Home’s
editorial content. The stores also will be promoted in @Home’s “Category
Spotlight” section and through broadband advertisements on the service.
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

BuySafe.com will market more than 400 different flower arrangements, over 200
of BuySafe’s gifts, and 200,000 CD and cassette titles.

Leveraging @Home’s high-speed network, customers will be able to sample more
than 200,000 audio clips from various titles. The new stores will provide
24-hour customer service and free standard domestic shipping.

Subscribers also will have direct access to BuySafe.com’s “Gift Finder”
service, helping
shoppers select items for specific holidays and categories including gender,
age, gift type, and price.

“Ranging from graphically rich, high-resolution product images to high-speed
ordering, @Home’s broadband network infrastructure is making Internet shopping
increasingly fast, convenient, and easy-to-use,” said BuySafe.com President
and Chief Executive Officer Aaron Day.

Based in Redwood City, CA, @Home Network distributes high-speed, openly
accessible Internet and Web services to residences and businesses using its
own network architecture and a variety of transport options including the
cable industry’s hybrid-fiber coaxial infrastructure.

BuySafe has designed and implemented private-label stores for sites such as
GeoCities, latimes.com and the E-greetings Network.
