CDnow Expands Music Departments, Adds News

Music retailer CDnow launched its
next-generation music
store, offering expanded music departments and more daily music news reports.

The company added allstar daily news, led by allstar Senior Editor Carrie
Borzillo. Grammy award-winning writer and executive editor Anthony DeCurtis
and editorial director John Bitzer head CDnow’s staff of music journalists,
providing
breaking news, interviews and reviews. Customers now also have access to music
information from Rolling Stone, CMJ Music Monthly, CMJ New Music Report and
MTV/VH1.

CDnow has expanded its music coverage to 16 departments: Rock,
Alternative/Indie, Pop/R&B, Hip-Hop, Electronic/Dance, Jazz,
Vocal/Theatrical, Country, Folk/Blues, Christian/Gospel, New Age, Classical,
World, Soundtracks, Comedy/Spoken Word and Kids/Family.

CDnow, which recently merged with N2K Inc., offers more than 500,000
music-related items, intelligent album recommendations, custom CDs and music
samples.
