CheckFree Launches CheckFree i-Solutions

CheckFree Holdings Corp. said that
BlueGill Technologies, which it acquired on April 28, will become a new
operating group called CheckFree i-Solutions within
the company’s Software Division.


CheckFree (CKFR) i-Solutions “combines the strengths of CheckFree and BlueGill
Technologies to provide integrated software and services to accelerate
business-to-consumer and business-to-business electronic billing and payment
and statement delivery applications,” the company said.


What was BlueGill’s i-Series software solution suite will now be marketed
under the CheckFree i-Solutions brand, and will be integrated with
CheckFree’s Internet distribution and payments technology infrastructure, as
well as CheckFree’s
integration and professional services offerings.


CheckFree i-Solutions offers billers and Biller Service Providers a fully
integrated solution designed to accelerate getting billing and statement
content to the Internet, the company said.


CheckFree, founded as an electronic payments processor in 1981, launched its
integrated electronic billing and payment solution, CheckFree E-Bill, in
March of 1997.


The Company now has contracts with 121 of the nation’s top
billers to provide online billing and payment through its network of
partnerships with more than 150 banks, brokerage firms, Internet portals and
content sites, and personal financial management (PFM) software.
