CitX Corp. and Baltimore Technologies formed a
partnership to provide secure Internet-based e-commerce solutions for the
healthcare industry.
Products will be marketed to physicians, hospitals, insurance companies and
other related healthcare operations.
As part of Baltimore’s Trusted World Partner Program, CitX, through its newly
formed IntraMedX subsidiary, will incorporate Baltimore’s cryptographic tools
and UniCERT PKI technology into its secure e-commerce enabled e-health
platforms, and will pursue joint healthcare related business opportunities
throughout the US. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
CitX will also integrate the PKI technology into its new secure transaction
exchange protocol technology, business to business portals and e-commerce
platforms.
“Information security, privacy, and integrity are major concerns of doctors,
patients, and others in the healthcare field, particularly when it pertains
to medical records,” said Bernie Roemmele CEO of CitX. “We believe that by
combining Baltimore’s UniCERT and other security tools with CitX’s private
transaction exchange technology, we can provide healthcare professionals with
the most secure, enterprise-scalable, and compliant e-commerce enabled
e-health platform available today.”
Baltimore Technologies products include Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
systems, cryptographic toolkits, security applications and hardware
cryptographic devices.
Baltimore operates from 15 cities worldwide with main offices in London,
Dublin, Boston and Sydney.
