Multimedia Live, provider of e-commerce
solutions, released today City Centro, a Web development package aimed at
small businesses.

City Centro is designed to enable
novice users to create commerce-enabled Web sites using a series of Wizards
and templates. The product walks the customer through the development
process using any standard Web browser.

“We realized there are millions of small business owners who cannot afford
a custom-built commerce-enabled Web site for $50,000 or more. But they know
they have to be on the Web if they want to be in business,” said Ken Burke,
CEO of Multimedia Live, in a statement.

City Centro offers the tools for creating a self-maintained Web site
offering up to 500 products, a video training series, Web hosting services,
and automatic registration with major search engines. The product also
offers six months of Internet consulting services, including assistance in
technical development, Web design, and marketing.

The e-commerce solution incorporates advanced shopping basket technology
that enables vendors’ customers to store multiple items in a basket while
browsing through an online store.
